[[2015년]]에 데뷔한 [[큐브엔터테인먼트]] 소속 7인조 걸그룹. == 상세 ==
원래는 5인조로 데뷔했으나 "예뻐지게" 활동을 기점으로 [[엘키]]와 [[권은빈]]이 영입되어 지금의 7인조가 되었다. 우선 컨셉은 매우 다채로운데 "궁금해"에선 귀여운 컨셉, "도깨비"에선 걸크러시 힙합 컨셉<ref>선배 걸그룹이었던 [[포미닛]]이 연상된다는 반응이 많았는데, 이럴 거면 [[포미닛]]은 왜 해체시켰냐는 비판도 있었다.</ref>, "어디야"에선 몽환 청순 컨셉까지 소화했었다.

[[큐브엔터테인먼트|큐브]]에선 아무래도 [[비투비]]처럼 이것저것 다 해보다가 하나로 정착시킬 생각인 듯한데, 아직까진 무슨 컨셉을 할지 종잡을 수 없는 게 아쉬운 점이다.

CLC의 팬클럽 이름이다. 체셔라는 이름은 [[이상한 나라의 앨리스]]에 등장하는 [[체셔 고양이]]와, 데뷔 초부터 사용하던 고양이 로고에서 따온 이름이다. [[체셔 고양이]]가 항상 웃고 있는 것처럼 CLC로 인해 항상 웃고 밝게 있을 팬들을 체셔라고 부르자는 뜻으로 지어졌다. 이름 후보 중에는 클로버, 쿠키 등이 있었고, CLC의 별명이 칯이니까 "치치"라고 부르자는 의견도 있었다. 하지만 이미 [[치치 (아이돌)|치치]]라는 걸그룹이 있기 때문에 이 의견은 최종적으로 뽑히지 않았다.

팬덤명은 [[2016년]] [[5월 12일]]부터 일주일동안 후보를 모집해서 투표를 통해 [[2016년]] [[5월 26일]]에 발표되었다. 그리고 체셔 1기 팬클럽은 [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xyU7kz3UUlI 모집 영상]과 팬카페를 통해 [[2017년]] [[1월 20일]]부터 모집을 시작했다.
